Alex Toth has passed away, but not only was he known  for masterfully illustrating and designing countless comic book layouts, he also was a master in the design of characters for cartoon series.  He worked for Hanna Barberra for years, and designed and developed all of the Super Heroes, Villains and other characters that were used in the various Superfriends series. These particular designs are hand drawn 1 of a kind model sheets of villain characters called "The Fearians" from a Superfriends episode from "The Challenge of the Superfriends" which was bt far the best season.  In this episode, aliens tried to take over the earth and were fought by the Super Friends.  Absolutely classic!!  I actually just saw this episode on the DVD set that came out for the series!  Wild!  This original drawing was done in ink on thick yellow paper and includes the hand written notes of the legend himself.  These are the 1 of a kind originals that Alex drew to design the characters.  There were 2 model sheets designed for these characters, and both of them have been beautifully framed together! From the originals, dozens of copies were then produced on cels of this original hand drawn model sheet that were handed out to the animators so that they could maintain consistency when animating the character. These are one of a kind pieces of animation history, and they are being offered at a fraction of what they are worth!!
